MentoTex explains research about money and behavior. Because people make real decisions after reading about money, we hold ourselves to published standards.
Sourcing
- We name the researchers and studies behind a claim, with the year, so you can find the original.
- We prefer primary sources, such as the published paper or the book itself, over summaries of summaries.
- We separate what a study found from what we, or the popular retelling, infer from it.
Honesty about uncertainty
Behavioral science has had a replication debate. Where a finding has been challenged, weakened, or replicated with mixed results, we say so instead of presenting it as settled. We avoid claims like “science proves” and numbers presented as laws.
What we will not do
- Give personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
- Let advertisers, sponsors, or affiliate partners influence conclusions. See how we make money.
- Use motivational hype or promise outcomes. Our job is to explain, not to sell a transformation.
